Could you please let me know the status of tariqah - spiritual Paths- in Islam.
Answer
Praise be to Allah.If what is meant is summoning the spirits of jinn or
others, this is not permitted, because it can only be achieved by means of
shirk. If what is meant is nourishing the soul by believing in Allaah, His
Messengers, His angels, His Books, the Last Day and in the divine decree,
both good and bad, then this is what Islam requires of every Muslim and
asks him to nourish this belief. And Allaah knows best.
