Question
He took out a loan with interest in his name for his friend, as a way of helping his friend – as he thought. Now he has repented, so does he have to transfer the debt to his friend’s name?

put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may
Allaah preserve him, who replied as follows:
If
it is possible, then he should do that, lest he be considered to approve
of this, and lest he continue to help his friend deal with ribaa. And
Allaah knows best.
