Surah Az-Zumar — 39:25

كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ
Those before them ˹also˺ rejected ˹the truth˺, then the torment came upon them from where they least expected.
Commentary
The nations that were before these idolaters also denied, and thus the punishment came to them suddenly from where they did not perceive so as to prepare for it by repentance.
