Surah Al-Qalam — 68:9

وَدُّواْ لَوۡ تُدۡهِنُ فَيُدۡهِنُونَ
They wish you would compromise so they would yield ˹to you˺.
Commentary
They wish that you were soft and compromising towards them in matters of religion, so they can be soft and kind to you in return.
