The Book of Greetings — Hadith 855
Narrated Abu Umamah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Those who are nearest to Allah are they who are first to give a salutation. [Abu Dawud] And At- Tirmidhi narrated its meaning and classified it as Hasan.
"إن أولى الناس بالله من بدأهم بالسلام"
