The Book of Visiting the Sick — Hadith 937
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: "When you pray over the dead, make a sincere supplication for him."[Abu Dawud].
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: “إذا صليتم علي الميت، فأخلصوا له الدعاء" ((رواه أبو داود)).
