John — The First of His Name
Yahya was given a name no one had borne before him — Allah Himself named him. He was given wisdom as a child and grew up with tenderness from Allah. He was devout, dutiful to his parents, and neither arrogant nor disobedient. He confirmed the word from Allah and was a leader, chaste, and a prophet from among the righteous.
Allah's peace was upon him the day he was born, the day he died, and the day he will be raised alive.
